The FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11, 2026, and the build-up is already in full swing. LEGO has just unveiled a dedicated World Cup Collection to mark the occasion, and it’s the kind of drop that appeals way beyond the usual toy aisle crowd.
At the center of the lineup is a 1:1 scale replica of the official FIFA World Cup trophy, built from over 2,800 pieces. The set uses specialized drum-lacquered gold elements to nail that metallic finish, making it look genuinely close to the real thing.
But there’s more going on inside than the exterior lets on. Hidden within the model is a concealed chamber that opens up to reveal a miniature football pitch and an exclusive FIFA World Cup 2026 minifigure. A printed plaque listing every tournament winner since 1974 comes included, making this a serious collector’s piece.
Then there’s the official ball, a life-sized replica of a standard Size 5 football made from 1,498 pieces, part of LEGO’s new “LEGO Editions” lineup. The real party trick here is the interior: it hides a retractable mini-stadium with an open-and-play mechanism that triggers a brick-built firework display. The model stands 22 cm tall and uses printed elements throughout rather than stickers, keeping the finish clean and premium.
The collection doesn’t stop there. Fans can build detailed “Football Legends” figures of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, or recreate iconic moments through the “Football Highlights” series featuring Kylian Mbappé and Vini Jr. There’s also an artistic tribute dedicated to Messi’s 2022 World Cup win, alongside buildable versions of the official tournament emblem.

The whole collection is clearly aimed at the “kidult” demographic: adults who take their builds seriously but it’s designed for anyone who loves football and wants something display-worthy on their shelf.
The LEGO World Cup Collection is available now ahead of the 2026 tournament. For more culture, fashion, and collectible drops worth knowing about, keep it locked to VZN.
