VZN Footwear has officially released the VZN Mule, the latest silhouette from the brand’s growing exploration into experimental footwear and digital manufacturing.
Developed in collaboration with Zellerfeld, the Mule continues the visual language introduced through the VZN Boot while shifting the concept into a more accessible everyday form. The silhouette keeps the sculptural tooling and exaggerated proportions of the original design but removes the closed upper in favor of a slip-on mule construction built for easier daily wear.
Like previous VZN Footwear releases, the Mule is fully 3D printed as a single-piece design with no stitching, glue, or traditional assembly methods. The project reflects a broader move toward simplified footwear manufacturing and on-demand production.
Instead of following retro sneaker trends or performance-driven design language, VZN approaches footwear through shape, proportion, and object-like construction. The Mule sits somewhere between a recovery shoe, a futuristic clog, and an everyday slip-on while maintaining the brand’s distinct visual identity.
The VZN Mule is now available exclusively through Zellerfeld as a made-to-order release manufactured in Germany and the United States.
Retail price is set at $139 USD.
