The Balenciaga Triple S.2 is set to make waves in 2026, taking cues from the iconic Triple S that debuted in 2017. Known for shaping modern sneaker culture, the original became one of the brand’s standout designs. With Pierpaolo Piccioli at the helm, the new Triple S.2 keeps the essence of its predecessor while updating the style for today’s sneaker enthusiasts.
The sneaker holds onto the signature stacked, splayed outsole crafted from three distinct tread patterns, delivering varied traction and wear. This multi-layered sole gives the sneaker its bold profile, blending elements from different shoes into one cohesive form. It boasts an intricate build with 68 components, crafting a streamlined silhouette inspired by sports tech. Mesh panels enhance airflow and comfort, while gradient stripes add depth to the sculpted design. The distressed finish lends a raw, cutting-edge vibe.
Balenciaga integrates classic elements from their permanent line with a fresh twist. The 3B Sport emblem and Balenciaga logo remain, along with new graphics debossed on the sides. Signature features like the bicolor laces and distinctive heel details connect this iteration to its roots, marked by a new Triple S.2 emblem on the tongue.
Select Balenciaga stores will host displays chronicling the line’s journey, from the original soles to the new Triple S.2. These installations, complete with a custom dustbag embroidery service, enrich the launch experience.
The Triple S.2 will come in various colorways—think black, different shades of grey, vibrant combinations of blue, yellow, and pink. Pre-orders are open, with availability in selected stores and online by March.
