Departing from traditional laces, the Hyper Taping utilizes elastic straps inspired by kinesiology tape, offering support while allowing for natural flexibility. The blend of mesh and synthetic leather layers takes cues from ASICS Sportstyle models, but with a more architectural vibe. The outsole, featuring radial traction zones and a herringbone pattern, enhances stability from various angles, making it both functional and stylish.
Visually, the Hyper Taping has an experimental edge without sacrificing usability. The standout green model is highlighted by multicolor straps and gum soles, while the black and grey versions provide a subtler approach.
