In an exciting blend of styles, Alpha Industries and Cecilie Bahnsen are coming together for a unique collection, launching on January 23rd, 2026. This collaboration merges Alpha’s iconic military-inspired outerwear with Bahnsen’s romantic aesthetics, bringing a fresh twist to classic pieces.
The Fusion of Utility and Art
Central to this collection are the legendary MA-1 and N-2B bomber jackets by Alpha Industries. Known for their durability since Alpha’s start in 1959, these jackets have long been staples in streetwear. Bahnsen breathes new life into these classics with her delicate, artistic touch, featuring floral motifs, laser-cut elements, and textured finishes that elevate these practical garments to pieces of art.
The collection presents three standout designs: a cropped MA-1 and two N-2B variations. Each piece maintains Alpha’s core engineering, focusing on performance, while Bahnsen adds her signature sculptural femininity, creating a beautiful balance between structure and softness.
A Fresh Design Perspective
The cropped MA-1 comes in a striking black, layered with cut-out details that resemble blooming flowers in motion. The N-2B jackets come in navy and green, accented with soft pinks, and are adorned with floral patches inspired by the vintage gardening book “Garden Bulbs in Color.” The book’s hand-tinted illustrations are transformed into intricate patches and laser-cut designs on the jackets. A special feature of the N-2B is its sculptural hood that unzips to reveal Bahnsen’s floral embroidery on the onion-quilted interior.
Bahnsen’s approach to this collaboration is a testament to her brand’s ethos, blending couture and ready-to-wear elements. “I’ve seen many styling bomber jackets with dresses, so this feels like a natural evolution,” Bahnsen mentions. The jackets truly embody a harmonious mix of toughness and tenderness.
