Supreme is diving into the great outdoors with its fresh collaboration alongside Marmot for Winter 2025. This team-up dives into Marmot’s rich history of alpine innovation, transforming decades of technical development into a sharp seasonal collection.
Marmot was born out of adventure back in 1974, thanks to UC Santa Cruz students David Huntley and Eric Reynolds. Their journey started atop an Alaskan glacier in 1971, leading to the founding of the Marmot Mountain Club. They began crafting gear to meet their own needs as climbers and explorers. Alongside Tom Boyce in Grand Junction, Colorado, they began hand-making sleeping bags and down vests, eventually setting up shop in a reimagined grocery store. Marmot quickly gained a reputation, scoring a standout moment providing oversized down parkas for Clint Eastwood’s film, The Eiger Sanction.
Innovation is Marmot’s game. In 1976, they were pioneers in using GORE-TEX in outdoor gear, a move solidified by stress-testing prototypes under extreme conditions. This approach solidified their standing in performance wear, a legacy untouched by time.
The Supreme collaboration sticks to this innovative spirit with items like the 800-Fill Down Parka, Fleece Jacket, and more. Each piece is about merging technical excellence and simple, stylish design. The parka is the star, crafted for harsh winters, while base layers and accessories like the balaclava and beanie round out the collection with full-on cold-weather protection.
Mark your calendars for December 26, when the Supreme / Marmot Winter 2025 collection drops worldwide. Available in Asia and select stores like London, Milan, and Berlin on December 27.
