Luka Doncic’s signature sneaker line is moving at high speed with the introduction of the Jordan Luka 5. Hot on the heels of last March’s release of the Jordan Luka 4 and the .77, Doncic is once again in the spotlight. Following his surprising trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, these kicks are part of a dynamic shift both on and off the court, epitomizing the rapid evolution of his brand.
The design of the Jordan Luka 5 is heavily influenced by Doncic’s unique playstyle. His ability to dominate with slow-step finishes and agile pivots is mirrored in the shoe’s focus on control and response. Each design update aims to enhance space creation, pace adjustment, and angle attacks, providing a solid platform that performs under pressure.
Key features of the sneaker include a full-length Zoom Strobel for enhanced propulsion and a new ISOband that ensures precise foot control. Alongside these, the Cushlon 3.0 midsole and ISOplate have been thoughtfully included to support Luka’s dynamic moves on the court. Doncic emphasizes this collaboration: “Working with Jordan Brand on the Luka 5 meant crafting something that continuously evolves with my game,” he explains.
The debut colorway, known as “Venom,” showcases the shoe in “Illusion Green” with bold “Black” accents, embodying a dynamic, high-contrast aesthetic aimed at reflecting the shoe’s performance-driven design.
Set to drop on January 8, the Jordan Luka 5 will be available through Nike and selected retailers, priced at $135 USD. This release signifies another leap in Doncic’s signature line, closely tying each update to his playing style and career trajectory.
