Denim Tears has officially launched its first proprietary denim collection, setting a new direction for the brand. Previously known for collaborations with Levi’s, denim has always been a foundational element for the label. This new release, the DENIM TEARS DENIM collection, showcases the brand’s unique approach with two essential fits: Straight Leg and Baggy. Both styles reflect the brand’s signature aesthetic and commitment to quality.
Crafted from robust 14 oz denim, these fits are available in two classic washes: Light and Dark. Each wash captures the rich textures and wear patterns reminiscent of vintage denim. For those seeking a more traditional touch, the Selvedge Denim (Unwashed) is fashioned from lighter 13 oz Japanese selvedge, crafted on traditional shuttle looms. Complementing the jeans, the collection features a Trucker Jacket made from the same exquisite materials and finishes.
Photographed by Liam MacRae, the campaign includes close friends and family of Denim Tears, like Andre Walker and Ali Richmond. The black-and-white images highlight the new silhouettes and present an intimate view of the Denim Tears community. Every piece in this collection is produced in the USA, showcasing a dedication to quality with eco-friendly practices. The manufacturing process is renowned for sustainability, recycling 98% of water during the wash cycle.
The DENIM TEARS DENIM collection will be available starting December 12th at 11am EST, both online at denimtears.com and in-store at Africa Diaspora Goods, 176 Spring St.
