White Mountaineering is collaborating once again with Uniqlo, marking their third partnership with a focus on sustainability. This time, at the heart of the collection, is a down jacket crafted from recycled materials, aligning perfectly with Uniqlo’s RE.UNIQLO initiative. This initiative is all about extending the life of clothing and promoting a circular fashion economy, which is a pretty forward-thinking move in today’s eco-conscious world.
The jacket features 100% recycled down, sourced from pre-worn Uniqlo outerwear that’s been meticulously gathered, taken apart, and cleaned. Even the padding in the sleeves sticks to this eco-friendly ethos, being made entirely from recycled polyester. This unisex jacket comes in three fall-ready shades—black, burgundy, and warm charcoal. Its design boasts an innovative blend of enlarged diamond quilting running down the torso and sleek rectangular panels on the sleeves. Thanks to its minimalist and versatile look, this jacket is perfect for layering underneath heavier coats, or even as a standalone piece during milder winter days.
Incorporating seamlessly into White Mountaineering‘s FW24 lineup, the jacket showcases the brand’s knack for reimagining autumn essentials with a modern outdoor twist. Their previous collaboration with Uniqlo, which dropped in late September, included stylish liner-style pullovers and cozy fleece hoodies, further showcasing their collaborative versatility.
Set to hit the digital shelves on Friday, October 11, the White Mountaineering x Uniqlo Recycled Down Jacket will be exclusively available online via Uniqlo’s web store. For more on this, keep an eye on VZN.
