Salomon has officially expanded its presence in North America with a significant move to Manhattan. Known for its outdoor apparel and equipment, Salomon has established itself strongly across Europe and Asia, with flagship stores in France. Now, the brand has opened its first-ever pop-up shop in New York City. This pop-up marks an exciting development in Salomon’s journey as it looks to further entrench itself in the global market.
Situated in the bustling neighborhood of Soho, on Spring Street, the pop-up shop is already welcoming visitors and will continue to do so until January 2025. The focus of this temporary store is on Salomon’s Sportstyle line, which the brand aims to use as a testing ground in preparation for its permanent expansion to New York City in 2025. Based on the outcomes of this trial run, Salomon plans to roll out five physical stores next year, starting with a permanent brick-and-mortar store in NYC.
Inside this pop-up store, visitors can explore a curated collection of Salomon’s popular footwear offerings. This includes models such as the ACS, Speedcross 3, and XT-6 shoes. Additionally, the sleek Snowclog silhouette has been resurrected as part of the store’s launch, offering something distinct for the visitors. According to Steve Doolan, Salomon’s President for the Americas, New York holds significant cultural value. Its residents have long embraced Salomon’s designs, particularly the heritage styles that have become a common sight in the city. This affinity for Salomon’s products inspired the decision to establish a storefront in New York, providing an opportunity for direct engagement with the community.
The Salomon pop-up shop is open at:
169 Spring St
New York, NY 10012
This temporary setup will run until January 2025, setting the stage for an even larger presence in the upcoming year.
