Rockstar Games has finally unveiled that “Red Dead Redemption” will be arriving on PC. This fan-favorite game is set to launch on both Steam and the Epic Games Store on October 29, offering a host of enhancements tailored for the PC platform. Players will experience the game in stunning native 4K resolution with support of up to 144Hz refresh rates on compatible hardware. If you have an ultra-wide monitor, you’ll appreciate the support for 21:9 and 32:9 screen ratios, along with HDR10 capabilities and the option to play with a keyboard and mouse. In collaboration with Double Eleven, Rockstar has also integrated NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies to elevate visual quality, alongside adjustable draw distances and shadow settings.
This release doesn’t just stop at the standard game. The next-level “Undead Nightmare” DLC, where the Wild West is overrun by zombies, is bundled with the PC edition. Originally debuting in May 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, “Red Dead Redemption” follows John Marston, an outlaw cornered by government agents. In a bid for his family’s safety, he must hunt down the remaining members of his old gang. Lauded for its immersive storytelling and expansive open world, the game snagged multiple awards, including the esteemed Game of the Year. Its engaging narrative continued with a 2018 prequel focusing on Arthur Morgan, Marston’s fellow gang member.
Mark your calendars for October 29 when “Red Dead Redemption” becomes available for PC players. For more updates and insights, keep it locked to VZN.
