Chris Stamp and Nobu Matsuhisa have unveiled the latest chapter of their global initiative, Sushi Club, in New York City, marking a milestone. In celebration of 30 years of Matsuhisa’s renowned Nobu restaurant, the New York Sushi Club is presenting a special apparel capsule and a unique collaboration with Nike for the Sushi Force One Air Force 1 sneaker. This exclusive line pays tribute to the legacy and influence of Nobu.
The standout piece in this commemorative release is a refined all-black Letterman jacket. With its stylish New York Sushi Club patches, the jacket is crafted from quality wool featuring contrasting leather sleeves. Tailored with custom jacquard ribbing around the collar, cuffs, and hem, it is finished with discreet black tonal rubber snaps, offering a blend of sophistication and street style. Complementing the jacket, the apparel collection includes a cotton t-shirt that exhibits the club’s logo on the chest and a larger version on the reverse side.
In collaboration with Sushi Club, Nike introduces the Sushi Force 1 sneaker, a Friends and Family exclusive. This all-white edition continues the understated design aesthetic and includes subtle New York Sushi Club branding on the midsoles and insoles. The inner tongue features a special logo commemorating the 30-year anniversary of Nobu, adding a distinct touch to the shoe.
This special collection can be explored in person and select pieces from the apparel range are available at the New York Sushi Club pop-up. This event is set to take place at the Perrotin Gallery store for a limited opening this weekend. The pop-up will be open on Friday, October 4, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., located at 130 Orchard St, New York, NY.
